higher thinking
so, these are not profound thoughts that look deep into yourself introspecting the inner thoughts n all. i am high and am gonna type out what flows into my head now.
what's in my mind right now is the thought of a post i read on Facebook. it went something like this - "the generation born between 1985-1995 are the ones whom the earlier generation feared would make a change in the system and hence were, with great amount of planning, exposed to non productive materials like television and the contents of the media and all that crap so that this generation would laze down and 'They' could continue doing what they did."
now these were not the exact words, but i see truth. a bigger picture is scary when u think of this generation all around the globe lazing down and not knowing the truth or facts of the mattes around the world. being exposed to planned and manipulated contents that a handful of people want them to watch. i had recently learned about the many media companies and their subsidiaries and sister concerns n all. its scary when you know that a large chunk of channels and media are owned by the same companies. that, i guess, is enough to expose a huge number of people towards a certain kind of content and hence plant an idea somewhere in the minds of the people through various means and modes of content delivery and bias their mindsets towards or against a certain set of ideas or people or community or country. psychological manipulation without the subject having even the slightest clue about it. had learnt about the term islamophobia and how it has grown into a fact so deeply planted in our subconscious. it is scary and i remember - sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. i think more about it and it is so clear in my mind. i remember my mother telling me about how a generation earlier people had hardly anytime to sit at home and be lazy. there was always something that was to be done and it did get done. it was a generation that had felt the need and also had the will power to resist something and revert back to the system with needs and demands. this has happened all over the world. the generation before that had seen struggles and resistance and revolutions. so aren't we neglecting a part of our existence, knowingly or unknowingly? i say 'unknowingly' because a generation has been developed on the ideas that were planted in their minds by someone else. well, this is just a thought. conspiracy theory maybe. Illuminati? psychological war? media monopoly? or should i start with communication theories and models?
here is a video which i came across on youtube that can add a little bit to what i have written here.
i think my high is on a down graph now. am gonna stop, peace!
